Napa State Hospital Volunteer Community Advisory Board

Enhancing patient lives at Napa State Hospital

We are local members of the community who operate independently as a non-profit 501(c)3 entity with a mission to obtain donations and recruit volunteers to enhance the lives of DSH-Napa patients. CAB ensures funds raised are expended directly to the patients receiving care and treatment services at DSH-Napa.

Napa State Hospital Community Advisory Board: Our Purpose

Support our cause by contributing to a brighter future.

Messages of appreciation directly from Napa State Hospital patients and staff:

Thank you so much for your generous gift of the food for the Special Event! The patients loved the tamales and enjoyed the special treat. Staff were all so grateful to have a break from the tedious paperwork, it was such a seamless process that felt like a holiday gift for us too!

Thank you again, you made our event so special

The CAB’s Chair, was instrumental in coordinating a very successful fundraiser at Wooden Valley Winery where they raised awareness and $1K donated to our Patient Benefit Fund. This fund allows us to gift each patient with $5 during the holidays and on their birthday month. $5 might seem small to us, however to our patients it means the world to be thought of during these special holidays. Thank you, CAB, for all you do for our patients!

Georgia

Board Treasurer

As a CAB member I enjoy being able to bring some of the simple things in life to the patients (birthdays, Christmas trees and parties) and the people I volunteer with are the most caring people I have ever met. In my daily life, family brings me joy and my grandson makes me smile daily.  Hobby is making candy gifts at Christmas.

Dean

Board Member

As a CAB member I have always had an affinity for helping the people living and working at DSH Napa, so it brings me joy to volunteer. In my home life I enjoy playing games with family and friends. I have learned that in any game the goal is to win – but it is the goal that’s important, not the victory
